Trekking
Hiking within the Pac Concepts adventure calendar is designed as a progressive journey through Kenya’s most diverse landscapes. The previous expedition to Mt. Longonot (May 23rd) set the tone for the season, focusing on crater climbing, endurance, and volcanic terrain. That hike established a strong baseline for participants, combining steep ascents with rewarding summit views—typical of how each month builds toward a different type of challenge.
Starting June through December, each adventure is intentionally scheduled with a clear structure: fixed dates, early morning departures (6:00 AM), and varied difficulty levels to ensure both progression and accessibility. From the mixed terrain of Karue Hills & Camp Ndunda (June 20) in Embu to the panoramic escarpments of Table Mountains (July 18), the calendar gradually shifts from moderate introductory hikes into more demanding high-altitude experiences like Elephant Hills (August 8).
Mid-season hikes such as Thuci Falls (September 12) and Mt. Suswa (October 10) introduce more diverse terrain—waterfall trails and volcanic landscapes—testing adaptability rather than just endurance. These are balanced with recovery-friendly experiences like Karura Forest (November 7), which focuses on light forest walking, and Manguyo Forest (December 5), which closes the year with a calm, immersive woodland hike.

Overall, the structure ensures that hikers don’t just attend random trips—they follow a curated progression of intensity, scenery, and experience. Each date represents a planned step in that journey, making the hiking program less about isolated events and more about building a consistent outdoor lifestyle across the year.
